Charlotte Smith, UK Influencer Partnership Manager at Metapic, got a break from her busy agenda to tell us more about this Swedish Influencer Marketing company. See how they can help advertisers to grow,  what makes them different from a traditional affiliate partner, their audience and the advertisers that better work with Metapic and their plans for 2019.

 

Can you tell us about yourself and your background in performance marketing?

Sure, I started my journey about 10 years ago. I worked for a startup to bring emerging designers on to the platform. After going back to school for an MBA, my tutor asked us to think out the box and instead of writing a dissertation create one. So I created a blog. Upon completion, I found my first Community Management role working with and managing bloggers for the company ad network.

 

Can you introduce Metapic?

Yes, we are the future of Influencer Marketing. Our aim is to work with influencers or digital creatives, who reach and inspire either a large or small audience to create engaging online content. Metapic helps you to improve your content with useful product links to well-known online retailers – and as a bonus, you get paid a CPC rate for the traffic you generate.

 

What is Influencer Marketing and how it can help advertisers to grow?

Influencer marketing is a form of marketing in which focus is placed on influential people rather than the target market as a whole on social media. It identifies the individuals who have influence over potential customers, and orients marketing activities around these influencers. Influencer marketing is the way forward for brands and influencers. Influencer marketing is the gateway to starting conversations around your brand. By working with influencers you have the keys to engage and turn bloggers and influencers into customers who have a real voice that people can connect with.

 

How is Metapic different than a traditional affiliate partner? Can you elaborate on your unique technology? 

It’s for bloggers and powered by bloggers. As an influencer or digital creative, you reach and inspire a large audience with your content. Metapic helps you to improve your content with useful product links to well-known online retailers – and as an added bonus you get paid a CPC rate for the traffic you generate.

 

Do advertisers need anything specific to work with Metapic? What are the benefits for advertisers working with Metapic?

The Advertisers need to agree to our terms of engagement, give us a product feed, discuss with us their objectives with Influencer Marketing, either it be brand awareness, engagement with their target market, likes to social media or recommendations and we do the rest. From product launches, to paid post and organic content with Metapic it is all clickable.

The benefits are bloggers can get back to blogging, post on Instagram Stories and on their Youtube channels, tag products in their content and get paid for every click.

 

Tell us more about your audience and what types of advertisers do you work best with?

We are interested in fashion, lifestyle, sports, families, gaming, health and wellness, food and drink. The list is endless!  We are open to the plethora of brands that would like to get into the influencer marketing mix.

Our audience is consumers that want honest suggestions. Metapic is up to any challenge that comes our way.  Our CEO, Filip Askviken, loves to through us in the water and make us swim.

 

What is your 2019 vision and what new things can we expect from Metapic?

Our vision is teamwork and growing our brand. As a team, we believe in Metapic and want to share with online communities.  We want to reward and help grow the business of online creatives like ourselves.  And conquer the Latin America, Asia, Arab and Africa Market!

 

Where do you see the Influencer marketing heading in the next years?

I don’t think advertising is ready for what is going to come.  Consumer spending and buying habits are changing. Advertisers need to fasten their seatbelts and prepare for a shift.  Consumers want to engage with brands, and not be sold into the brand, they want to see real people talking about brands and their experiences and recommendations. It is also one of the only mediums that is inclusive. In the next few years, the rainbow of people who populate the earth want to be included, see themselves and relate to brands. This point is vital to advertising and marketing, so brands have to adapt ASAP.

 

Do you have any exciting plans coming up in the next 12 months? 

We are building our UK network at the moment. So be prepared to see us at the YMS19 LDN and hosting networking events, publisher workshops and parties.

 

Is there anything else you’d like our advertisers to know? 

We want to work with more emerging designers and brands. We want to give our bloggers and influencers the brands they want to work with. We want to work with emerging brands to build brand awareness in the key markets and blogging can help spread the love via their influence and a need for change in the market.
