TD Agency: A Practical Guide for Affiliate Agencies

Feb 26

6 min read

Managing affiliate marketing as an agency means handling multiple clients, markets, and programs at once. Different partners, reporting needs, and finance tasks compete for your time every day. As agency portfolios expand, manual reporting and fragmented workflows quickly stop scaling, making inefficiencies visible across clients and programs. We built TD Agency to give agency teams a clear structure for managing all clients from one central place.

In this guide, we walk you through TD Agency and its three levels: agency, advertiser, and program. You will see how each level supports daily work and how one affiliate platform can replace fragmented workflows with clarity and control.

TD Agency - A Practical Guide for Agencies

Who Is TD Agency Built For

TD Agency is built specifically for agency workflows. It gives you one access point across all clients, with clear separation between agency, advertiser, and program level. This structure allows you to keep an overview across clients while still working hands-on at program level when needed.

How TD Agency Is Structured: Three Levels, One Workflow

Instead of treating every program as a separate setup, the platform is divided into three connected levels: agency, advertiser, and program – giving you the right level of control and insight, without overloading you with data you do not need at that moment.

Each level answers a different question:

  • At agency level, you ask how all clients perform.

  • At advertiser level, you focus on brand-specific results.

  • At program level, you manage partners, campaigns, and transactions.

This separation keeps reporting clear and decisions grounded in the right data.

The Agency Level: Full Visibility Across All Clients

At agency level, TD Agency gives you a single overview across all managed clients and markets. We designed this level to support strategic work such as performance reviews, portfolio benchmarking, and resource planning. Instead of opening multiple programs one by one, you see key KPIs across all advertisers in one place.

This is where affiliate marketing becomes easier to manage at scale. You can compare performance across brands, markets, or publishers and quickly spot trends that require action. Many agencies use this level to prioritise which clients need optimisation attention, rather than reviewing every program in detail.

Your Agency Dashboard

Right after login, you see an overview of overall advertiser performance across all clients. Key metrics such as AOV, Sales, Order Value, Clicks, and Commission are available at a glance and can be compared to previous periods. This helps your agency identify trends, shifts, and seasonal patterns early.

The dashboard also highlights top-performing programs across all clients and the highest-performing sites. This allows you to prioritise optimisation and focus on partners that drive measurable results.

Matrix Reports

Matrix reports let you compare multiple advertisers and KPIs side by side. This makes it easier to benchmark clients against each other and decide where optimisation efforts will have the biggest impact.

User and Access Management

At agency level, you manage user access across all advertisers and programs. This ensures that every team member sees the right data and works within clearly defined responsibilities.

The Advertiser Level: Managing Multiple Brands Efficiently

At advertiser level, TD Agency helps you manage each client as a distinct brand while staying connected to your overall agency view. We designed this level for account managers who switch between advertisers several times a day and need fast access to relevant data. This level supports the core work of an affiliate agency. You monitor performance, manage programs, and prepare client-specific insights, all within a consistent structure that works across advertisers and markets.

Advertiser Dashboard

Each advertiser has its own dashboard showing key metrics such as AOV, Sales, Order Value, and CPO. You can view performance for different date ranges and compare results to the previous periods. The dashboard also highlights top-performing programs and sites, as well as the most recent transactions.

Program Management

In the Programs area, you get an overview of all programs belonging to the selected advertiser. You can access each program’s performance dashboard and management area with a single click.

Using the Manage and Claims menus, you handle operational tasks across one or several programs, including pending transactions, site categories, product feeds, product groups, and program-level claims.

Advertiser Reporting

At advertiser level, reports give you detailed insights into program performance, transactions, and sales error reports. The Tools section allows you to create webhooks, supporting integrations with your existing agency systems.

The Program Level: Hands-On Affiliate Management

At program level, TD Agency supports the operational work that drives affiliate marketing performance day to day. This is where agency teams work directly within individual programs to monitor results, manage publishers, and maintain correct commission setups. This is the most hands-on level of the platform. You manage partner relationships and ensure that programs run smoothly across markets and channels.

Program Dashboard

Each program has its own dashboard showing key performance metrics for different date ranges. The dashboard also highlights the top-performing sites for the selected program, helping you quickly identify strong partners and changes in performance.

Publisher Management

You can manage publishers through the Affiliates Directory and Sources Status sections. In the Affiliates Directory, you explore Tradedoubler’s publisher network and invite new partners to your program. You can filter publishers by site name, promotion type, and website content to ensure alignment with your target audience.

For deeper evaluation, you can access publisher details such as total visits, device distribution, and top traffic countries. In the Sources Status view, you manage existing partnerships, including approval status, segments, and categories.

Finance and Commissions

Through the Finance menu, you manage commission structures at program level. This includes segments, standard commissions, PLT commissions, and financial adjustments. This setup allows agencies to support flexible commission models while keeping financial control consistent.

Ads and Vouchers

In the Ads section, you upload and manage creatives such as banners and text ads. This ensures that publishers always have access to up-to-date promotional material. In the Vouchers area, you can create individual vouchers or upload multiple vouchers via bulk upload for faster campaign execution.

Reporting and Insights

The Reports menu gives you access to detailed performance reports at transaction, ad, event, product, segment, and category level. You can also use matrix reports to analyse day-by-day performance across one or several partner sites, supporting deeper optimisation work.

How TD Agency Fits Into Your Existing Tool Stack

TD Agency is designed to work alongside the tools agencies already use for reporting, analytics, and operations. Instead of replacing your existing setup, the platform helps centralise affiliate marketing data and make it accessible across teams. We focused on flexibility, so you can adapt TD Agency to your workflows.

APIs and Integrations

TD Agency allows you to create webhooks directly within the platform. These can be used to connect affiliate data with internal dashboards, BI tools, or client reporting systems. This is especially useful for agencies that standardise reporting across channels and need reliable, automated data flows.

Markets and Currencies

Our platform supports agencies working across multiple markets. You can manage programs in different countries within the same platform and analyse performance across regions without changing tools. This makes it easier to compare results, align strategies, and support international clients from a single agency setup.
