Sponsoring the European Affiliate Awards: Why This Was an Easy Yes

We’re really excited to share that we’re sponsoring the European Affiliate Awards this year. But honestly, what makes this worth talking about isn’t just the sponsorship - it’s what sits behind it: The European Affiliate Awards are about shining a light on the European affiliate space, the stories shaping it, and the people behind the work, while bringing the community together beyond a single event.

That’s exactly why this was such an easy yes for us. With six of our markets involved in the sponsorship, it reflects how we work every day - locally rooted, but connected across borders, in an industry that’s bigger than any one market.

A European Industry Deserves A European Stage

Affiliate marketing has always been cross-border. Brands scale across markets, publishers reach audiences globally, and partnerships rarely stop at one country.

But the way we talk about the industry doesn’t always reflect that. Different markets often operate in their own bubbles, with their own best practices, challenges, and ways of working. What’s standard in one country might still be emerging in another.

That’s what makes the European Affiliate Awards interesting. They bring those perspectives together - putting work from across Europe side by side and creating a space where affiliate marketers can learn from each other.

Changing How Affiliate Marketing Is Seen

The European Affiliate Awards were created to give affiliate marketing the stage it deserves, and to show just how creative, multifaceted, and effective the channel really is.

Because affiliate marketing still gets put in a box sometimes. For people outside the industry, it’s often reduced to discount codes or last-click attribution. And while that might have been part of the story at some point, it’s definitely not the full picture anymore.

What we see today is something much broader. Strong affiliate programs are built on real partnerships, smart use of data, and a mix of creativity and performance thinking. They play a much bigger role in the overall marketing strategy than they’re often given credit for.

That’s what makes initiatives like the European Affiliate Awards so important. They highlight the kind of work that’s moving the industry forward - and help shift the perception of what affiliate marketing actually looks like today.

See You There

All of this is also why recognition matters. Awards can sometimes feel like a nice-to-have. But in reality, they set a benchmark for what good looks like. They give teams visibility for the work that often happens behind the scenes. And they push the industry forward by highlighting ideas and approaches that others can learn from.

It’s shaping up to be a great event - and a chance to come together and celebrate the people, partnerships, and ideas driving affiliate marketing forward across Europe.

Join us at the European Affiliate Awards on September 21 - we’d love to see you in Berlin!
