Tradedoubler on successful space mission in Hamburg

The organisers of the Online Marketing Rockstars (OMR19) in Hamburg are looking back on a successful festival with 52.000+ visitors, 400+ exhibitors, 300+ speakers, 150+ masterclasses on 4 stages and 2 parties with numerous side events.

For Tradedoubler, as well, May 7th and 8th at OMR were a huge success – packed with meetings and galactic sessions at the booth, a masterclass, exciting conference lectures and great food and entertainment.

The Tradedoubler booth, designed like a space station, was ”the place to be” in the premium expo hall. Many existing and new customers came by to learn more about our new product vision of an Open Platform using Blockchain technology for the storage of data. Others passed by to discuss new opportunities based on our recently announced Publisher API and Publisher Interface.

During our galactic sessions, that took place every day at our stand, our expert team talked about hot topics like Blockchain or Influencer Marketing. In these short power sessions our Vice President Engineering Nick Morris and our colleagues from Metapic, Filip Askviken and Yannick Möller, shared their knowledge.

Highlight of the first festival day was our masterclass ”Next Generation Performance Marketing” with our CEO Matthias Stadelmeyer, Claudia Batschi-Rota, Country Manager Germany & Austria,  and Nick Morris, Vice President Engineering. The masterclass  was fully booked with over 200 participants. The audience learned about opportunities and possibilities with Tradedoubler’s recently announced Open Platform and Blockchain strategy and why we are so enthusiastic about these technologies.

The second day of the OMR conference offered more highlights. Philipp Westermeyer, Founder and CEO of OMR, took a look at the state of the German internet 2019 and compared the German digital and marketing scene to its international competitors.

Yuval Noah Harari and his thoughts on artificial intelligence were not only exciting for techies. There are areas in which a machine can judge a person much better than a person can judge himself. Yuval talked about the challenges that AI and information technology imply for mankind, discusses the topics controversaly and shows why we need to remain critical.

Sessions from Andy Puddicombe, Founder of the meditation app Headspace, who started his speech with 3 minutes of relaxation and Verena Bahlsen, heiress of the well-known biscuit empire, were other highlights. As Entertainment never misses out on OMR, vocalist Ellie Goulding rounded out the conference on the big stage. Unfortunately we were not able to experience the final of this brilliant #OMR19. While Marteria and Casper rocked the stage, we had to catch the plane back home to Munich.
