Sophie van Beveren

Partnership and Network Quality Manager

This week we are proud to share with you our meet the team with the wonderful Sophie Van Beveren. Find out about her time working at Tradedoubler, how her day typically looks like, her advice for new entrants and a recommendation to live by.

Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I am Sophie van Beveren, Partnership and Network Quality Manager for the UK market. (Brutally honest, but friendly)

How long have you been working at Tradedoubler? Can you tell us a bit more about your path within the company?
I am at Tradedoubler for 4,5 years. Started as Publisher support executive for the Netherlands and Belgium, moved to publisher support manager for NL/BE and UK and then partnership development manager and now partnership and network quality manager.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
My role is focusing on support and Network quality I shift the time between both tasks. I have to find the balance between the two on a daily basis. So publisher questions, calls, checking our new publishers that want to join the network and researching the current publisher for advertiser programs with sometimes added in some Untracked sales support.
The project I am working on is to get our publishers in the network categorised in an efficient way. At the end making it easier for account managers to connect their program to the publisher type the advertiser is interested in.

How did you get into digital marketing?
Mainly by accident. At university, I studied Marketing. But by moving to the UK, I only had jobs in customer support. With applying for a support job at Tradedoubler, I got to affiliate marketing and then grew in it in the past years.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned in your career?
Internal communication and knowledge are the most important in a company. And always keep on searching for a solution.

What advice would you give to recent new entrants?
Know what you talk about and think logical. Then all should go well.

What’s your favourite line from a film?
I’m impossible to forget, but hard to remember. From Elizabethtown.

And to finalise, do you have a recommendation or a quote to live by?
Sunshine, rainbow and unicorns. Not because everything is sugar and nice, but only saying it makes you smile!
