Influencer Week | Publisher Spotlight: Adsoma

For the Influencer Week, we interviewed Lloyd Honeyghan, founder of Adsoma, to find out more about how the company started, what have been the keys to success, how they see the market and where they see the Influencer industry going in the future.

Can you briefly introduce yourself?

My name is Lloyd Honeyghan, the founder of Adsoma.co.uk.

Can you introduce Adsoma and what you guys do?

Adsoma.co.uk helps brands to discover and buy social influencer placements. Our network is currently integrated with verified YouTube creators across the UK, Europe and North America.

How did Adsoma come about? Could you give me some background as to why you decided to create it?

We created Adsoma.co.uk in 2016 with the goal of simplifying the influencer marketing process for brands and creators. Though personal experiences while working at an agency, and speaking to industry peers, we found that the inconsistency in the influencer marketing process was a common problem and we set out to solve it.

How would you say Adsoma is different to other influencer networks?

Our creator placements are affordable and the content we create focuses on driving accountable actions for our clients, for example, a click, lead or sale.

What have been your keys to success, and on the contrary, what are some things you’d consider failures but that you bounced back from?

Having a team experienced in digital, influencer and performance marketing has been a major plus in helping us to succeed.
The biggest failure to date was launching on the wrong business model, however, we pivoted after a few months and saw results improve for our brand and influencer partners.

If you could change one thing about the social media industry and its effects, what would it be?

Creator education. Many creators have stumbled into the Influencer space, initially launching their channel as a hobby. Because of this, many creators are not well versed when it comes to understanding the digital space, which is why we consistently keep our creators up to date on industry developments and ensure they understand the where their content sits within the bigger picture.

Where do you see the influencer industry going in the future?

I see a bigger focus being placed on brand safety and tighter guidelines for brands and creators to follow.

What would you say is the number one key to success is in your kind of business?

Ensuring that the brand objectives are understood and managing expectations by setting campaign KPIs.

Do you have any upcoming promotions, new launches, or exciting news you would like to share?

We are offering a 10% discount to any advertisers that book our Content Play package via TradeDoubler.

Is there anything else you’d like Tradedoubler’s advertisers to know?

Get in touch if you would like to know more about how we can work for your brand. We are happy to provide our thoughts with no commitment.
