Today is World Water Day – we want to celebrate this with you and have interviewed the Online Media Manager Vincent Polman from Center Parcs. Can you briefly introduce yourself?

Center Parcs

My name is Vincent Polman. I’m the Online Media Manager for the Dutch market and I’m also responsible for the Danish market of Center Parcs. On our original markets like the Dutch one, everybody already knows our brand. It’s one of my responsibilities to introduce our brand to the Danish people via digital channels and explain them why staying at one of our parks is so much fun.


What`s the story and the core business value behind Center Parcs?

Center Parcs has parcs in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany and within a couple of years we will also open our first park in Denmark. Our parks always have a wide variety of comfortable and luxurious cottages, lots of different activities to do and a great tropical swimming pool called the Aqua Mundo with lots of different slides and wild water rapids. We have a special focus on families and friends who are willing to spend quality time together.


Tell us more about your audience and what types of publishers do you work best with?

Almost all audiences are interesting to us because our wide variety of activities. Couples can have a great time in our luxurious VIP cottages and go for a nice walk in the beautiful nature that surrounds our parks. Families with young children will have an amazing time with our themed cottages aimed at children and all of the great attractions in our Aqua Mundo. We also see a lot of grandparents who are taking their grandchildren for those exact same reasons. Right now we are really focussed on introducing our brand to the Danish people so good content publishers are what we’re looking for.


What are your payment models?

CPS, fixed fee and CPM/CPC deals as well.

What are the advantages when an publisher enters into a partnership with Center Parcs?

They partner up with a company that has a very positive brand image, with loads of great photo and video materials if needed. We have several promotions throughout the year and a commission that equals very nice amounts due to our high average order value.


What makes Center Parcs an exciting company?

Our focus on constant improvements for our target group. For a while now we’ve been busy on upgrading almost all of our parks. We have upgraded almost all of our cottages at our parks, we have added new types of cottages, we added new slides to some of the Aqua Mundo’s etc. This creates such a diverse offer that we believe absolutely everybody enjoys a stay in one of our parks.

Why did you join the Tradedoubler network?

We were already working with Tradedoubler on the Dutch and Polish market. We have a good partnerships there, so when we were looking to start a Danish affiliation program, Tradedoubler was the easy and obvious choice.


How long have you had a relationship with Tradedoubler?

With Tradedoubler Denmark we started our relationship in 2021, but for some of our other markets the relationship goes back several years.



Next


Any exciting plans coming up this year?

Always! We are finishing up a huge round of upgrades and new additions to all of our existing parks. That process is now in the finishing stages. In May we will open a new park in the South of France. Not this year but in 2024 we will open a new park in Putnitz, Germany which should be a great destination for Danish people. And most importantly, also in 2024 we will open a park in Denmark so we are looking forward to welcoming more and more Danish visitors.



Where do you think is the Affiliate space heading to in the next year and what are the main market disruptions?

I think for all channels that have anything to do with Online Advertising, the stricter cookie rules are a very important topic. Of course we understand and support that the consumer should have a choice of what information they would like to share. At the same time we also want to make sure we keep reaching our most important audiences with content that’s relevant and interesting to them. That is and will remain a challenge for our publishers, for an Affiliation network like Tradedoubler and for us as an advertiser.


Any other news to share?

Since it’s World Water Day, I would like to tell a little bit about the things Center Parcs does to save water and to be as friendly as possible to our planet while still providing our guests with the quality and luxury they are looking for.

For example, a lot of our parcs have specific certificates that show we value sustainability. You see this in our cottages where we use energy-efficient thermostats and water-saving shower heads. In our Aqua Mundo we use very little chlorine in the water and the tropical decor in the Market Dome consists of endangered plants, birds and fish that are given a second life here.
