Nordic e-commerce leader CDON Group Partners Exclusively with Tradedoubler

Stockholm, 7 June 2012

Tradedoubler, the performance marketing and technology company and CDON Group, the leading Nordic e-commerce retailer have extended their relationship with an exclusive agreement for the Nordic affiliate programmes of Nelly, Heppo, Gymgrossisten, CDON, Room21 and Lekmer. This agreement comes at a time when growing demand for online shopping in the region is driving many customers to foreign retail sites, particularly those based in the US, UK and Germany.

The new partnership builds on a successful collaboration that began in 2000. CDON Group is the number one e-commerce retailer in the Nordics, selling entertainment, fashion, leisure and sportswear and home and garden equipment to a broad range of customers across the Nordic region.  It has ambitious plans for national and international expansion.

Tradedoubler, founded in Sweden and Listed on the NASDAQ OMX, has extensive experience in running successful affiliate marketing programmes across Europe, with particular strength in the Nordic region. Its proven track record in delivering compelling and innovative affiliate marketing solutions for blue chip companies in the fashion and entertainment sectors, coupled with its superior reach, makes it an ideal partner for CDON Group.

With studies showing that three in ten Nordic e-commerce customers plan to buy more products online over the next 12 months, and one in two buying from a foreign site, the challenges and opportunities faced by e-commerce retailers in the Nordics are significant.

“We are recommitting to Tradedoubler at an exciting time for CDON Group,” said Tobias Lindblom, Online Marketing Director CDON Group. “We are determined to remain at the forefront of e-commerce in the Nordic region and establish a strong foothold elsewhere in Europe. Tradedoubler’s extenesive network of online publishers and broad reach in terms of sectors and audiences, coupled with its proven track-record of driving cost effective sales will be vital in helping us achieve this.”

“We are proud to have been selected by CDON Group for this closer and stronger partnership,” said Leif Eliasson, market unit leader, North East, TradeDoubler. “We pride ourselves on offering a flexible, tailored affiliate strategy that is built around the needs of each individual customer and helps them to achieve their business goals.  We are very excited about the role we can play in helping CDON Group to expand and grow.”

In addition to the exclusive agreement for the Nordic region, Tradedoubler also has the option to be a partner in new markets that the CDON Group companies enter.
