Performance Marketing Awards 2013

Last night saw the industry’s finest getting dressed up and ready to network at 2013’s biggest event in performance marketing. It was a night of incredible talent all round as networks, agencies, publishers and clients showcased their past year’s successes. Tradedoubler was out in force looking glamorous, cheering the company on through its 19 nominations at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.
The excitement built through the evening, kicking off with a champagne reception, followed by a delectable three course meal and was tangible by the time PerformanceIn.com founder, Matthew Wood, took to the stage to introduce the night’s host, comedian Josh Widdicombe. Widdicombe warmed up the crowd with some audience interaction much to everyone’s delight and nicely lead us into the start of the awards. The room, full of anticipation, went quiet for the first time as the nominees were announced…
It’s hard to know where to start, given the incredible successes we had throughout the night. Tradedoubler and The Body Shop were up first, winning the Best Use of Performance Marketing as Part of a Multi-Channel Campaign award. Tradedoubler for Hotels.com bagged the Best Managed Affiliate Programme category while Tradedoubler client, thetrainline.com, picked up the Best in Travel & Leisure: Advertiser Award. With cheesy grins Tradedoubler and clients giddily made their way up to the stage to collect their gongs, with high fives and cheers all around. Still not satisfied with those three prestigious titles, Tradedoubler scooped Best Advertiser Support to the delight of theteam.
As for my lasting and iconic moment of the evening? That was most definitely when the whole Tradedoubler team in attendance stormed the stage for the photo opp! It also didn’t go unnoticed the high commendations we received, Ky Ismet for Best Account Manager being one to highlight.
With spirits high and the awards over, Tradedoubler celebrated into the night with champagne, lots of animated conversation and some questionable dance moves to The Weekend… lunges may have been thrown in for good measure. A great night had by all and brilliant to see so many familiar faces in one luxurious setting. Same time again next year?
