Fashion & Beauty Connect 2014

On the 20th March we held our Fashion & Beauty Connect at the Soho Hotel.

The day was hosted by Ed Wills from creative agency The Breakfast club and attended by over 100 advertiser, agency and publisher representatives in the sector.

Fashion & Beauty Connect saw the first unveiling of the new research conducted by the Tradedoubler Insight Unit and guests took home the newly released whitepaper

Mobile Shopping 2014: The Rise of the Omni-Consumer.  Tradedoubler’s Head of Client Services James Milne presented the research which looks at how changes in consumer behaviours are evolving the online landscape and what that means for fashion advertisers.

Next up we had Liam Downes E-commerce Manager for The Body Shop who presented alongside our hot shot rising star  nominee Amy Lucas who presented the Body Shop Best in Class case study. The Body Shop and Tradedoubler have won several awards for this forward thinking and innovative programme, and the presentation gave an inside look into how the brand looks to provide an agile approach.

Next up we heard from Karoline Gross CEO of video tagging technology company Smartzer who spoke of the emerging trends fashion brands are using to engage with video.

The UK watch on average 30.5hours of video a month, advertisers can’t ignore this!

Our final presentation was from Justin Opie Managing Director of IMRG who spoke of the great numbers and predicted trends in the online fashion space with accessories up 970% lingerie up 461% footwear up 305% YoY in terms of online sales.

The panel ‘Discussion Creative, Collaborative & Curated - The new dynamics in e-commerce that are driving online fashion and beauty sales’ was our final session of the day. Graham Walker from lingerie brand Figleaves joined the speakers of the day to debate and discuss the future of the online fashion sector.

We ended the afternoon with drinks and canapés, surrounded with some great products being showcased. We would like to thanks all The Body Shop, Bench, F&F and Yves Rocher for proving us such great wears and products to showcase. A special shout out to our Master of Ceremonies Ed who led the afternoon!
