Aigua Media: The Fashion and Beauty Magazine
After a surge of people arriving between 2pm and 2.30pm, the networking opportunities were fruitful and the venue became full.
To kick off the talks was Tradedoubler’s Commercial Director, Dan Cohen, followed by one of Tradedoubler’s Zoo Project
Dan opened with a summary about Tradedoubler’s focus on building relationships and increasing our PR and presence at important industry events. He then introduced StyleNest, which is a fashion content site offering a destination for the modern woman. Founder of the site, Hannah Rouch, presented about the growth of StyleNest and the type of content suitable for partnership. This led on to some great discussions with merchants and promotions planned for Q3.
Next to present was Jess Markwood from Aigua Media
. Jess talked in detail about their online community and fan base via their social media channels then further about the numerous sites under the Aigua Media umbrella and how merchants can partner with the group.
One of Tradedoubler’s account managers, Verity Beard, then stepped up to present why affiliates should partner with The Body Shop
and how she grew the program to win the A4U’s best managed affiliate program 2012.
Fiona Gandy from digital media agency 7thingsmedia
then followed up with an insightful piece on the affiliate landscape, going back to basics and hints and tips on how to optimise fashion affiliate programs and various ways to engage with your affiliates.
To finish the talks was Jillian Lidgate with a presentation on F&F
, how the business has grown significantly, the type of events Tesco are sponsoring and hosting and furthermore the kind of innovative technologies the brand are bringing to the industry.
The event continued on to the early hours of the morning, with canapés and wine being served till the very end.
Tradedoubler’s fashion and beauty event was a chance for agencies, merchants and affiliates to connect and network in an enjoyable setting, whilst gaining some insight from those who are experts within the industry. There was a great combination of all the relevant people, so merchants could engage with their affiliates, affiliates could plan future promotions with their fashion advertisers and agencies could be there to mediate both parties.
