Patent acquisition from Lemonbox strengthens TradeDoubler's portfolio
The Internet marketing and sales company TradeDoubler acquires patent and intellectual properties from the Swedish company Lemonbox.
The patent and the intellectual rights regard a method for steering information and messages on the Internet within so called clusters. Consumers that visit web sites within a certain cluster, which consist of several web sites within the same category that have similar offerings, without making any purchases will be given the possibility to find other offers that can suit them better based on visitor statistics and purchasing behavior.
The acquisition of this patent is strategically important for the market leader TradeDoubler and it is in line with the company’s focus on online sales. The patent will also be suitable together with TradeDoubler’s other patents.
There is no intention to start offering Lemonbox’s product, but relevant parts of the patent will gradually be integrated in the existing tool for portals, TradeDoubler Media Toolbox, which directly will benefit both existing and future clients.
