Nurturing and investing in young digital businesses
To build on our innovation heritage we have formed TD Ventures, a new programme that will nurture and invest in young digital businesses and start-ups. The programme has a total fund of €5 million to invest in digital companies. Tradedoubler will invest up to €500,000 in a single company in exchange for equity in the business.
We are particularly keen to nurture businesses that can work with our own, for example website publishers seeking to develop new business models or to monetise their sites. In addition to businesses that fit with our current offering, we are also looking to invest in companies that complement our services and those that are pioneering new technologies.
The TD Ventures investment panel
The panel will assess all applications. It will be headed by Pascal Chevalier, Chairman of Tradedoubler and Matthias Stadelmeyer, CEO of Tradedoubler. Pascal is a digital entrepreneur with a history of running and investing in successful online businesses and Matthias has been CEO of Tradedoubler for two years and has an unrivalled understanding of the digital marketing and e-commerce sector across Europe. Other members of the investment panel are Erik Siekmann, Founder and CEO, Digital Forward GmbH and board member at Tradedoubler, and Dan Cohen, Regional Director, UK & Ireland, Tradedoubler.
Speaking about TD Ventures, Matthias Stadelmeyer said, ‘We are excited to be launching TD Ventures as it builds on our heritage as a technology innovator and will enable us to nurture some exciting start-ups and young businesses in our main markets. Our aim is to support the growth of both the businesses in which we invest and to expand how we work with different partners.’
