Eclectic collection of innovative start-ups join The Zoo Project

The Zoo Project has recommenced with new residents. This business incubator is designed to foster grass roots growth and help drive innovation in the online marketing arena, for e-commerce entrepreneurs and emerging start-up companies. Being a resident of The Zoo gives access to networking events, the opportunity to attend client pitches, one to one mentoring and unique access to major brand advertisers and partners. The selected companies’ employees are also provided with desk space in Tradedoubler’s Central London office.

The candidates were vetted and selected via a competitive pitching process by a panel of dragons, including: Sarah Parsonage, Publisher at The Memo; Matt Wood, Founder of A4U; Mary Keane-Dawson, Strategic Advisor and Business Development Consultant; Leo Harrison, Co-founder of Squawka Sports; Hannah Rouch, Head of Product, Bauer Xcel Media (and Founder of StyleNest); and Dan Cohen, Regional Director of Tradedoubler.

Drum roll please… and the winners are (this year’s residents):

SportStylist

SportStylist offers an online independent sports community for active women, backed by various sports governing bodies. Because the company works closely with experts and industry influencers — such as athletes, journalists and bloggers — its editorial content is like having a personal coach/shopper to guide women to purchase the right sportswear for them. SportStylist brings together the best sports retailers and brands in one easily accessible platform, which provides its partners with an additional retail channel via its dynamic store and contextual content.

HaveYouSeen

Born from the belief that whenever someone talks about or buys a product online, they should get rewarded for doing so. Brands are willing to pay a commission for social commerce and the ones that work with HaveYouSeen pay out millions of pounds a year. It’s HaveYouSeen’s mission to ensure that these commissions find your pockets.

The company has relationships with over 10,000 brands and retailers to collect what is rightfully yours. They help you organise your shopping and reward you when you buy or share online.

Smater Click

Smarter Click is an overlay technology provider helping online retailers make the most out of their website visitors. It offers website owners the ability to capture visitors at various stages across a website visit and delivers promotional messaging using overlays, helping convert visitors before they leave to visit a competing website.

The employees from the winning companies will be spending a year in Tradedoubler’s London office while they grow their businesses and expand into new territories. If you’d like to get in touch with any of these companies or find out more about The Zoo Project, get in touch.
